Thinking Of You

Today's card is a Thinking of You greeting card. This is another variation on the card I shared in my last post which was inspired by this card from Martin's Mayhem.

Once again I have used the Blessings of Home stamp set but with a bit more colour this time and some different distressing.

Here's the end result.

Watercoloured floral thinking of you greeting card

Details:

I stamped my main floral image onto a piece of Sahara Sand cardstock using Early Espresso ink. Next, I coloured the image in using Watercolour Pencils from both the Assortment 1 & Assortment 2 packs. I then used the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing folder to emboss this piece. Once embossed, I added some White splatter to the card piece using the Whisper White Craft Ink Refill and a Water Painter. I then used my bone folder to curl the top left corner of the card until the layers separated.

Next, I cut a piece of Gorgeous Grape cardstock, slightly larger that my Sahara Sand piece. Once again I curled the top left corner with my bone folder only just breaking the layers apart but not separating them. I then used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to layer the 2 pieces together before glueing to an Old Olive base card.

My sentiment was then stamped onto a piece of Sahara Sand cardstock using Early Espresso Ink. I flagged one end and mounted to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.

Watercolour Birthday

I'm sharing a simple Birthday card that I have made that was inspired by this card by Martin Stone from Martin's Mayhem.

I love Martin's card but I didn't have the Bouquet Of Thanks stamp set at the time, I do now, so I substituted Blessings of Home in it's place. Apart from the change of stamp set there are a few other differences and here is my end creations.

Birthday card coloured using Watercolour Pencils

Details

I started out with an A5 piece of Cake Crumb cardstock which I scored and folded in half. On the front of this card I stamped the main floral image from the Blessings of Home stamp set, randomly around the edges using Versamark ink. Next, I stamped this same image using Early Espresso ink onto the bottom edge of a smaller piece of Crumb Cake cardstock. I then coloured the image using Watercolour Pencils from both the Assortment 1 and Assortment 2 packs.

The next thing I did was to add some white splatter using the Whisper White Craft Ink Refill and a Water Painter. Following this, I added some Early Espresso splatter using a Stampin' Write Marker and my 'long ago retired' Spritzer tool. I then curled the top left corner of this piece using a bone folder until the card separated into 2 layers. Using some paper snips, carefully, I roughed up the remaining edges of the card to give a distressed look. This was then mounted to the card base using Stampin' Dimensionals.

Next, I stamped the sentiment using Early Espresso ink onto a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock. I then flagged one end before mounting to the card using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.

Nature's Harvest

Today's card is created using the Nature's Harvest stamp set which has been coloured with Watercolour Pencils.

Nature's Harvest Thank You Card

How to make:

I started out by stamping my main image onto Crumb Cake cardstock using Early Espresso ink. This image was then watercoloured using the Watercolor Pencils Assortment 1 set before die cutting. Next, I die cut the branch die using Early Espresso cardstock and the sprig in Old Olive cardstock. I then die cut a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock using the Stitched Greenery die. This piece was then adhered to a sligthly larger piece of Old Olive cardstock allowing a slight border. Next, I adhered the die cut branch & sprig to the card front using liquid glue. The image was then mounted using Stampin' Dimensionals. I tied a piece of Old Olive ribbon around the card front adding a few strands of Crumb Cake Baker's Twine into the final knot. This piece was mounted to a Early Espesso card base using Stampin' Dimensionals. I then stamped the sentiment using Early Espresso ink onto a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock before die cutting using the Harvest Dies, and mounting using Stampin' Dimensionals. The final touch was to add some Brushed Brass Butterflies.
