Marigold Moments Thanks

Today's card uses the very pretty Marigold Moments bundle in the January - April 2023 Mini Catalogue. I have also used some of the 'soon to be retired' 2021 - 2023 In Colors.

When browsing Pinterest recently I came across this gorgeous card made by Amy Koenders and have created my card using Amy's as the inspiration and adding a few of my own touches.

Marigold Moments Thanks Card Details

To make my card I started by cutting an A4 piece of Basic White Thick cardstock in half lengthwise. I then scored and folded in half. Next, I cut two pieces of 2021 - 2023 In Color designer series paper. 1 piece @ 105mm x 30mm and the other @ 105mm x 20mm. The larger piece was then adhered to the bottom edge of the card and the smaller to the top.

Next, I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock @ 105mm x 115mm. I then scalloped the bottom edge using the Marigold Moments dies. I aligned the edge of the die to the bottom of the cardstock and die cut, keeping the little piece that is cut off for later. Using one of the Basics 3D embossing folders, I then embossed this piece before adhering the die offcut to the top edge using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Next, I added a piece of Fresh Freesia Open Weave ribbon around the bottom and adhered using Mini Glue Dots, before tying a piece of Whisper White Baker's Twine on top. This piece was then mounted to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals.

My images were stamped next onto an A6 piece of Basic White cardstock. The solid images were stamped off once onto scrap paper and the detailed images are direct from the ink pad. This allowed me to achieve a tonal effect with each of the colours. The flower is using Fresh Freesia and the leaves are Soft Succulent. Once the images were all stamped I then die cut them using the Marigold Moments dies. Next, I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the bottom stem & leaves piece to the card front and Stampin' Dimensionals for the flower and smaller leaves.

The sentiment was stamped onto Basic White cardstock using Evening Evergreen ink and die cut using the Something Fancy Dies. I also used the same die to cut a piece of Evening Evergreen designer series paper from the 2021 - 2023 In Color 6" x 6" designer series paper pack. I've glued this piece to the back of the sentiment piece as shown and then mounted to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals and glue. For the finishing touch I added some 2021 - 2023 In Color Opal Rounds.

I decorated the flap on the envelope with a coordinating piece of the designer series paper.

For the inside of my card I cut a piece of Fresh Freesia designer series paper @ 102mm x 145mm and a piece of Basic White cardstock 98mm x 141mm. Next, I stamped the smaller leaf and flower images, as show below, before adhering to the inside of the card.

Perfectly Penciled 70th

Today's card came about when a friend asked me if I could make them a 70th Birthday card. The only requirements were that it needed to be Black & White only.

I decided to use the Perfectly Penciled designer series papers from the 2022 - 2023 Annual Catalogue and created this card.

Perfectly Penciled 70th Card Details

To make my card I cut a piece of Basic White Thick A4 cardstock @ 297mm x 148.5mm which I scored and folded in half to make a square card. I then cut 2 pieces of Perfectly Penciled designer series papers, 1 @ 120mm x 148.5mm and 1 @ 40mm x 148.5mm. Next, I adhered the larger piece to the base card, aligning to the right side of the card, and the smaller piece aligning to the left using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I then cut a scallop strip from Basic Black cardstock using the die from Penned Flowers. This was then adhered over the join of the designer series papers.

Next, I fussy cut the flower image from the Perfectly Penciled designer series papers and mounted to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals.

I then used the Alphabet A La Mode Dies and Basic Black cardstock to die cut the 70, which I adhered to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. The 'th' was created using the 'Happy Birthday' stamp from the Art Gallery stamp set. I used a Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker to ink up the 'th' which I then stamped onto a piece of Basic White cardstock before fussy cutting and mounting to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.

The 'happy' and 'birthday' were stamped onto Basic Black cardstock using Versamark ink and then heat embossed using White embossing Powder. Next, I fussy cut the images before mounting to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals. I added some Iridescent Pearls for the final touch.

I decorated the flap on the envelope with a coordinating piece of the designer series paper.

For the inside of my card I cut a piece of Basic Black cardstock @ 138mm x 138mm and a piece of Basic White cardstock @ 134mm x 134mm. Next, I fussy cut a floral image from the edge of the designer series paper and adhered to the Basic White cardstock using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. This was then adhered to the Basic Black cardstock and then to the inside of the card.

Favored Flowers 8 Card Details

To make my card I started with a A5 piece of Petal Pink cardstock which I scored and folded in half. Next, I randomly stamped the 'Thanks' image, from the Fragrant Flowers stamp set, onto the Petal Pink cardstock using Petal Pink ink.

I then fussy cut some floral images from the Favored Flowers designer series paper. Using the Fragrant Flowers dies I die cut some Calypso Coral leaves. Next, I adhered the die cut leaves and fussy cut flowers to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue and/or Stampin' Dimensionals.

My sentiment was stamped onto a 100mm x 30mm piece of Very Vanilla cardstock using Calypso Coral ink. This was then die cut using the Fragrant Flowers dies. Next, I added a piece of Evening Evergreen Open Weave ribbon to the back of the sentiment piece before mounting to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals. For the final touch I added some Classic Matte Dots in Very Vanilla.

I decorated the flap on the envelope with a coordinating piece of the designer series paper.

For the inside of my card, I cut a piece of Very Vanila cardstock @ 100mm x 144mm. To this I added a fussy cut flower from the Favored Flowers designer series papers. This is a great way to use up those flowers on the edges of the designer series paper and aren't whole. After adding the flower to the Very Vanilla cardstock I glued the piece to the inside of the card.
