Stampers Anonymous Blog Hop #53

Hi and welcome to the Stampers Anonymous Blog Hop for April.  Thanks so much for hopping with us this month. The theme for our April Blog Hop is a Sketch Challenge and here is the sketch we were challenged to use.

Blog Hop #53 Sketch

With the lovely Hues of Happiness Suite retiring at the end of this month I thought I'd use it for one last Blog Hop. I already had a bunch of flowers die cut, so this card came together rather quickly.

Here's what I created.

Blog Hop 53 - Hues of Happiness Birthday

Blog Hop Card Details

To make my card I started with an A5 piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock which I scored and folded in half. Next, I cut a piece of Hues of Happiness designer series paper measuring 139mm x 95mm which I adhered to the front of the card base.

I then cut a piece of Basic White cardstock measuring 145mm x 101mm. Using the Framed Florets Dies, I cut the oval from the centre of this piece before embossing with one of the Basics 3D Embossing Folders. Next, I added some Foam Adhesive Strips to the back of the Basic White embossed piece, and then mounted to the card front.

My die cut flowers & leaves where then adhered to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I stamped my sentiment onto a 95mm x 13mm piece of Basic White cardstock using Blackberry Bliss ink. Next, I used the Banners Pick A Punch to flag one end of the sentiment piece. This was then adhered to the card front using a small piece of Foam Adhesive Strip and Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The final addition for the card front was to add some Fresh Freesia Opal Rounds from the 2021-2023 In Color Opal Rounds.

I also decorated the inside of the card by adding an edge flower and a leaf die to a 145mm x 101mm piece of Basic White cardstock. This piece was adhered using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Bouquet of Thanks

I'm finally back today to share another card, this time using the Bouquet of Thanks stamp set. This stamp is another that will be leaving us at the end of the month so if it was one you were after get your order in before it's gone.

Bouquet of Thanks front

Bouquet of Thanks Card Details

To make my card I started with an A6 piece of Shimmery White cardstock. I stamped the Bouquet of Thanks image onto the Shimmer White cardstock using Stazon Jet Black ink, and then used the Watercolor Pencils Assortments 1 & 2 to colour. Next, I used a Water Painter, filled with water, to lightly go over the colouring on the image to soften any colouring lines. I then used the Stitched Rectangle Dies to die cut the image to the required size.

Next, I cut a piece of Basic Black cardstock measuring 91mm x 126mm, which I glued the image piece to. I also cut an A5 piece of Basic Black cardstock which was scored and folded in half to make my base card. To the front of my base card I then added a piece of Daffodil Delight designer series paper measuring 101mm x 144.5mm. Finally I mounted the image piece to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals.

Bouquet of Thanks inside

For the inside of my card, I cut a piece of Shimmery White cardstock @ 101mm x 144.5mm and stamped a portion of the Bouquet of Thanks image onto the bottom right corner using Stazon Jet Black ink.  I coloured the image using the Watercolor Pencils Assortment 1 & 2 and then using the Water Painter, lightly went over the image to soften the colouring lines. This was then glued to the inside of the card using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Beauty of Friendship

My card today uses lots of retiring items starting with the stamp set, Beauty of Friendship. I've teamed it with retiring colours of Soft Suede, Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen along with the retiring Stitched Rectangle dies and Bricks & Mortar 3D embossing folder.

Beauty of Friendship Card Details

To make my card I started with a piece of Soft Suede cardstock measuring 105mm x 297mm which was scored and folded in half.  I then cut another piece of Soft Suede cardstock measuring 102mm x 145.5mm. This piece was then embossed using the Bricks & Mortar 3D embossing folder before swiping the Whisper White craft inkpad over the top. I then mounted this to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Next, I die cut a piece of Evening Evergreen & Soft Succulent designer series paper using the Stitched Rectangle dies. These pieces were then adhered to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

My image was stamped onto a 90mm x 120mm piece of Basic White cardstock using Soft Suede, Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen ink. Next, I die cut the image using the Stitched Rectangle dies and then mounted to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals. I then stamped my sentiment in Evening Evergreen onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock and die cut using the Stitched Rectangle dies. This was then mounted to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.

I decorated the flap on the envelope with a coordinating piece of the designer series paper.

For the inside of my card I cut a piece of Basic White card stock @ 102mm x 145.5mm. Next, I stamped my image before adhering to the inside using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
